The company’s manned quadrotor aircraft will help enable “garage-to-office” flight

CINCINNATI, May 3, 2023 /PRNewswire-PRWeb/ — Talix Aviation, an aerospace engineering startup focused on combining the everyday commute with a new form of personal flight, is excited to announce the official launch of its Indiegogo campaign on May 15, 2023, to help fund the first phase of development of the Azura Personal Quadrotor, a manned quadrotor aircraft.

This new form of aviation is designed to lead the charge as the first mass-produced “suburb-compatible, errand capable, daily commuter” personal aircraft on the market, targeting a consumer-friendly price point. Features include:

  • All-electric flight compatible with existing EV quick charge stations
  • Computer-assisted fly-by-wire flight control system
  • Rotor deploy and stow functions for minimal footprint
  • Climate-controlled digital cockpit with computer-assisted flight control system

“Our objective is to break the barriers standing between where we are today and the new aerial society of tomorrow,” said Talix Aviation’s Founder and Chief Engineer Jason Hill. “To do this, we will make a concerted effort in two key areas. First, demonstrating the viability of home-based personal aircraft as a safe alternative to vehicles, and second, establishing the necessary infrastructure to ensure the safe proliferation of commuter flight.”

That infrastructure will be a major focus of The Common Skies Initiative, Talix Aviation’s underlying effort to ensure personal flight flourishes quickly and safely. This part of the project is responsible for helping develop the regulations, guidelines, and awareness necessary for a safe transition into a flight-centered society. It will also spearhead efforts with government officials at the local, state, and federal levels to develop what will eventually become a nationwide aerial highway.

“I want to leverage my knowledge, skills, abilities, and everything I can muster to help usher in a new age of common flight,” said Hill. “It will be tough, but it is not impossible. The ability to fly is something we’ve all dreamt of at one point or another and making it a reality is absolutely within our reach with today’s technology.”

This first round of Indiegogo funding has a goal of $1.86 million, which will support pathfinding efforts in software development, design, prototyping, and testing of the personal quadrotor concept, as well as establish baseline elements of the Common Skies Initiative.

Jason is available for remote or in-person interviews to talk more about the Azura Personal Quadrotor and Indiegogo Campaign, as well as Talix Aviation and the demand for more personal flight options.
